Director James Fox, alongside Ole Miss alumnus and associate producer Percy Townes, is set to unveil their latest documentary, “The Program,” on Dec. 16.
The film will be available on digital platforms including Apple TV, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and Vimeo, with screenings planned in major cities shortly after its release.
The documentary follows Fox’s acclaimed UFO-focused films, “The Phenomenon” and “Moment of Contact,” and delves into a growing bipartisan push in Congress to uncover what intelligence agencies truly know about UFOs, now referred to as UAPs (unidentified anomalous phenomena).
Through interviews with high-ranking officials, elected leaders, physicists, intelligence experts, and military whistleblowers, The Program sheds light on explosive testimony presented during the first public congressional hearings on UAPs in over 50 years. Witnesses included military and intelligence officers who alleged the existence of secretive programs aimed at analyzing recovered materials and non-human biologics, raising questions that challenge longstanding skepticism about the possibility of extraterrestrial life.
Narrated by Peter Coyote (Bitter Moon, E.T.), the documentary features extensive interviews with figures such as Christopher Mellon, former deputy assistant secretary of defense for intelligence, and Stanford University professor Dr. Gary Nolan, alongside other key insiders.
