Oxford soccer defeats Hernando

Oxford defeated Hernando in two close matches at home on Thursday night.
In the opener, Oxford’s Amie Reed scored in the 7th minute to give the Chargers an early lead. Jane Irwin scored the Chargers other goal in a 2-1 win.
The girls record is now 7-2-2.
The lone goal in the boys 1-0 win was scored by Oxford’s Michael Thompson with an assist from Jerry Dudley.
The Chargers record is now 8 wins, one loss, with two ties.
Oxford’s next matches are Tuesday, Dec. 10 at Lewisburg.
