The Oxford School District has announced seven teachers as honorees in the 2024 Teacher of the Year awards program.

Each school in the district selects its very own Teacher of the Year. From these seven teachers, one will compete for the district teacher of the year to be announced in a few months.

Representing their school as 2024 Teacher of the Year:

• LaToya Dudley – Bramlett Elementary
• Keeley Asmus – Central Elementary School
• Valarie Buford – Della Davidson
• Anne Fisher Cole – Oxford Intermediate School
• Karen Elliott – Oxford Middle School
• Tuesday Arizaga – Oxford High School
• Erica Oliver – Oxford Early Childhood Center

The district also announced that Oxford Intermediate School principal Chase Goolsby was named District Administrator of the Year.

Goolsby will compete with other school administrators from across Mississippi for this year’s Mississippi Administrator of the Year, who will serve as an ambassador for the teaching and leading profession and a spokesperson for leaders and administrators.
