Danny Michael Metts passed away on November 6, 2024 with his wife Mary Frances and daughter, Catherine by his side. Danny was born on November 17, 1948 to Virginia Waldrip Metts and Albert A. Metts, and preceded him in death.

Danny leaves behind his wife of 14 years, Mary Woodyard Metts. He leaves behind his son, Shawn M. Metts of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and Leonard Rohrscheib, Jr. of Lexa, Arkansas. Danny leaves behind his daughter, Amber Metts Leets (Steven) of Lyon, France, and Catherine Rohrscheib Nash of Searcy, Arkansas. Danny leaves behind six Grandchildren, Ivy Leets, of Lyon, France, Zaria Metts of Coeur D’Alene, Mary Catherine Nash Dickson, (Addison), Rylee Nash of Searcy, Arkansas, and two Grandsons, Parker Rohrscheib and Reed Rohrscheib of Lexa, Arkansas. Danny leaves behind two sisters, Rose Merry Kirkpatrick, Cynthia Keys and 2 brothers, Mark Metts (Debbie) and Andrew Metts and a host of nieces and nephews.

Danny was the owner Metts Surveying Company and retired in 2019. Danny loved traveling and especially loved spending time with his Shawn and doing once in a life time float trips on the Colorado River including conquering The River of No Return (Salmon River). Also, he enjoyed visiting far flung countries such as China, Mongolia, Egypt and Greece. He had one more trip out West on his bucket list to spend time with Shawn, but his body wore out. Danny and Mary moved to Pangburn, Arkansas on the Little Red River in 2022 completing the most important item on his bucket list.

Danny loved the Lord Jesus. His family-hosted service will be held at Laodicea Primitive Baptist Church, Lafayette Springs, Mississippi with internment in the church cemetery. The date for services will be December 7th at 11:00.
