Wreck Tuesday evening resulted in one death

UPDATE: The driver of the UTV has been identified as Allen “Perk” Parker.
A wreck claimed the life of one person Tuesday night.
At 6:09 p.m. on Tuesday, the Oxford Police Department officers responded to a two-vehicle wreck in the southbound lane of Highway 7, just before the Highway 30 bridge.
The collision involved a 2015 Ram 2500 pickup and a side-by-side UTV.
The driver of the UTV was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The wreck is currently under investigation and no further details were available Wednesday afternoon.
