Water Valley man charged with felony malicious mischief

On Oct. 3, deputies with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office received a report that John David Parks, 51, of Water Valley, had purposely damaged a vehicle parked at a business on HWY 30.
A professional estimate was made for the vehicle’s repair cost, which showed over $1000 in damage.
A warrant was issued for Parks for felony malicious mischief. On Oct. 8, he was arrested and transported to LCDC without incident where he was booked on a $2,500 bond.
