Rain expected mid-week, brings in cold front

Summer weather will give way to more fall-like temperatures later this week, at least for now.
Today and Tuesday should see a high of about 88-89 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Lows are expected to be in the mid-60s.
Rain is forecast to return to Lafayette County late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
There is a slight chance of showers at 11 p.m. Tuesday through 4 a.m. on Thursday and then the chance of rain increases to 50 percent on Wednesday as a cold front moves into the area.
The high Wednesday is expected to be around 80 degrees. Showers and thunderstorms are possible overnight into Thursday.
The chance of showers and thunderstorms on Thursday is 50 percent with the high only reaching about 74 degrees with the low Thursday night around 64 degrees.
The high for Friday is 79 degrees with a 30 percent chance of showers in the afternoon.
The rain will clear away Friday night, making way for a sunny weekend with the high around 79 on Saturday and Sunday and the lows dropping to around 59-60 degrees.
