Hot this week, little rain expected

Lafayette County finally received some good rain that helped cool things down and fed the thirsty grass and trees.
This week; however, we go back to very hot and dry.
The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for our area through Tuesday evening and it’s expected to be continued through the week.
While the high today is expected to be around 92, the high humidty, about 100%, will cause the heat index value to make it feel more like 105 degrees. Tonight should be clear skies with a low of 76 degrees.
Tuesday is expected to be sunny with a high of 94 degrees with the heat index value from 105-110 degrees.
The high temperature will continue climb midweek – with a high of 96 on Wednesday and Thursday under sunny skies.
There is a slight (20%) chance of some rain Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Otherwise the highs will remain around 95 degrees throughout the weekend. Lows should be around 73-74 degrees.
