Four local students graduate from MS School for Mathematics and Science

Four local students graduated in May from the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science.

This graduating class has accepted more than $7.9 million of the $32 million offered in scholarships to attend universities all over Mississippi and the nation.

The local students who graduated from MSMS in the spring were:

  • Lila Christine Jacks of Oxford. Lila previously attended Oxford High School and is the child of Jacks Tom and Katie Jacks. Lila will be attending Clemson University this fall.
  • Ava Grace Noe of Paris. Ava Grace previously attended Lafayette High School and is the child of Nathan Noe and Jennifer Noe. Ava Grace will be attending Mississippi State University this fall.
  • Max Russell Wolf Flaschka of Oxford. Max previously attended Oxford High School and is the child of Walter Flaschka and Shanna Flaschka. Max will be attending Case Western Reserve University this fall.
  • Ava Elizabeth Wilson of Oxford. Ava previously attended Oxford High School and is the child of Whitt Wilson and Amy Catherine Wilson. Ava will be attending Mississippi State University this fall.

MSMS is our state’s nationally recognized residential high school for academically advanced

11th and 12th graders. The school was founded in 1987 on the campus of the Mississippi University for Women in Columbus.
