New trampoline park being built behind Wink Tumbling Academy

Children in the surrounding area will soon have a new place to jump and tumble and work out all that extra energy that young folks are blessed with.
The owners of Wink Tumbling Academy, offering gymnastics, cheer and tumbling classes are building a new trampoline park in the coming months.
Morgan Winkel purchased the building that houses Wink Academy a couple of years ago. It is the former home of Pirate Adventures, located off Highway 6 East near County Road 105. The new trampoline park will be built behind the existing building.
Unlike some of the trampoline parks further north in Mississippi and Memphis, the Wink Trampoline Park won’t be a franchise — or a 50+-minute drive for area residents.
The building will be about 20,000 square feet and offer 10 attractions, including a battle beam, climbing wall, dodge ball and ninja course. It will also have a main trampoline court and an enclosed area for children ages 4 and under. For safety, the enclosed area will separate younger children from older kids.
A professional company will design and install the park to meet industry safety standards.
“We’ll have a good kitchen and if we can get it figured out, we’d like to have a bar area upstairs for the adults,” Winkel said.
Construction is set to begin in September, Winkel said.
The contractor is Brandon Crumpler, who is also Winkel’s business partner.
“We hope to have it open in early 2025,” Winkel said.
The Lafayette County Board of Supervisors approved the site plan for the park last week. However, they did so with a condition that construction could not begin until a new private road was built off County Road 105.
That new road is being built by the developers of Roundabout Oxford RV Resort. The developers agreed to construct the private road off CR 105 to give access to the RV Resort and better access for Wink. Currently, the entrance into Wink is at the bottom of a hill off Highway 6 East where there are frequent wrecks.
Once the road is built, people will access Wink Tumbling Academy and the trampoline park by turning onto CR 105 and then left onto the new private road, which will also provide access to Roundabout Oxford.
The private road is currently under construction.
