The bell rang and we all spilled happily into the sunshine on the walk in front of the grammar school on Jackson Avenue. And the youthful dash to the fountain in Leslie’s Drug Store was on.
Grandad was standing across the street at the studio door smiling. And I was walking the same route Dad had in his school days.
A quarter got you a double chocolate cone. The memories are worth a million.
