OSD welcomes Johnnie Dudley as Director of Teaching and Learning

The Oxford School District recently announced the appointment of Johnnie Dudley as the new Director of Teaching and Learning.
Dudley’s hiring was formally announced during the special called board meeting held on May 9.
With an extensive background in education and administrative leadership, Dudley brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role. Dudley served as the principal of Oxford Intermediate School, where she was recognized as the Oxford School District Administrator of the Year in 2024.
Before her role at Oxford Intermediate School, Dudley was an assistant principal at Oxford High School. Before her time in Oxford, she was a special education teacher, principal, and the Director of Special Education in the Coffeeville School District.
In her new role as Director of Teaching and Learning, Dudley expressed her enthusiasm and dedication to empowering educators and supporting student success.
“In this new capacity, my goal is to ensure that our educators feel empowered and supported,” she said. “I look forward to joining the team in leading our efforts to inspire and equip students and staff with the skills necessary to excel in teaching and learning.”
Marni Herrington, Chief Academic Officer of the Oxford School District, shared her support for Dudley.
“Her wealth of experience and dedication to educational excellence align perfectly with our district’s vision,” Herrington said. “We look forward to working together to continue providing the highest quality education for all our students and support for all our school staff members.”
