Hernando defeats Oxford 12-0 in Thursday game

The Hernando Tigers defeated the Oxford Chargers 12-0 on Thursday night.
Hernando got on the scoreboard early, with three runs in the first.
The Tigers added four runs in the second inning to take a 7-0 advantage over Oxford.
Oxford (14-8) was held to a base hit of the bat of Sam Roy through the first three innings.
Oxford started Brady Stinnett on the mound against Hernando. Stinnett worked 2.0 innings and allowed seven runs (six earned) on six hits with four walks and a strikeout.
The Chargers gave the ball to Josh Scruggs in the third. Scruggs tossed 1.1 innings allowing five runs on three hits with four walks and a strikeout.
Oxford brought Cade Freguson in for the final 0.2 of the inning as he gave up a hit with no runs with a walk.
In the fourth, Hernando added five runs to their total to go up 12-0.
In the fifth, Oxford got a hit by Reid Kent.
Oxford returns to action on Saturday as they take on the Horn Lake Eagles at home. The first pitch is set for 11 a.m.
