The Oxford School District announced its Parents of the Year for the 2022/2023 school year recently.

Each school selects a Parent of the Year and one parent is chosen as the district’s Parent of the Year.

Jenny Kate Luster was chosen as Della Davidson’s Parent of the Year and then was named Oxford School District’s Parent of the Year.

“Mrs. Luster has been invested in the Oxford School District for several years and exemplifies the qualities of a nurturing, dedicated and loving parent volunteer,” the OSD said in a statement.

A committee reviews all the nominations and chooses the Parent of the Year from the Parents of the Year from each school.

Other Parents of the Year named were:

• Oxford Early Childhood Center: Blair Hull
• Bramlett Elementary School: Megan Shaffer
• Central Elementary School: Alison Nemesek
• Oxford Intermediate School: Tara Denevan
• Oxford Middle School: Angel Smith
• Oxford High School: Olivia Dale
