Oxford High tennis wins district match over Lewisburg

Oxford tennis won a district match for the third time in three days with a 6-1 win over Lewisburg on Wednesday.
In girls singles, Oxford’s Crawford Shows defeated Reagan Meadows 6-3, 6-4.
The Oxford girls doubles #1 team of Chase Grafton and Kaitlyn Urbanek won over Madelyn Rucker and Mariam Hall 6-1, 6-1. The Oxford girls doubles #2 team of Lotte Luger and Allie Harris Flowers defeated Madilyn Hall and Anna Rhodes Bridgeforth 6-0, 6-3.
In boys doubles, Oxford’s Andrew Koestler and Hayes Huggins won 6-0, 6-0 over Tucker Knotts and Aiden Peacock. Oxford’s Ben Campbell and Leland Koestler defeated Lewisburg’s Jonathan Wiseman and Matthew Floyd 3-6, 6-3 (10-8).
Oxford’s mixed doubles team of Sutherland Smith and Mary M. Shipman won 6-1, 6-0 over Lewisburg’s Kyle Dawson and Gavin Green.
In boys singles, Taylor Cook of Lewisburg beat Oxford’s Charlie Fruge 6-1, 6-2.
