Lafayette Commodores baseball team defeats Clarksdale

The Lafayette Commodores baseball team defeated Clarksdale 15-0 on the road Tuesday.
Lafayette (11-5) opened the game up after scoring six runs in the second inning. The Commodores took a 3-0 advantage into the inning.
Lafayette added two runs in the fourth and four runs in the fifth.
The Commodores got multiple RBIs in the game from Brody Breithaupt (4), Houston Morgan (3) and Aleck Farmer (2). Breithaupt finished the game going 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and four RBIs.
Lafayette had Tanner Harris on the mound against Clarksdale who worked 4.2 innings of scoreless baseball on one hit with three walks and seven strikeouts.
These two teams will meet again on Friday night at Lafayette. The first pitch is set for 7 p.m.
