Locals are 2024 Junior Bass Fishing state champions

- Two Lafayette Middle School students have won the 2024 Mississippi SAF Junior Bass Fishing State Championship. Riley Moore and Jackson Parks took home the award from the championship event at Madison Landing in Ridgeland on Sunday. Their boat captain was Brian Moore. The boys started at 6:30 a.m. and finished weigh-in around 3:30 p.m. (LCSD)
