The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) has lifted the state-imposed boil-water notice for the city of Flowood’s surface water system in accordance with the Environmental Protection Agency’s Revised Total Coliform Rule.
MSDH officials have confirmed that appropriate disinfection is in place and that the samples taken from the distribution system are clear.
These same criteria were used to lift the notice for the city of Jackson on Friday.
