The Oxford School District has named Oxford Intermediate School Principal Johnnie Dudley its “Administrator of the Year” for the 2023-2024 school year.
The Mississippi Administrator of the Year Program (MAOY) recognizes outstanding administrators who have succeeded in leading high-quality learning opportunities for students and demonstrating exemplary contributions to the profession.
Dudley, a woman of faith, has been married for 19 years with four children and two grandchildren. She grew up in Como and began her career in education as an American Reads tutor and special education teacher in Coffeeville School District.
After serving in the Grenada School District, she returned to Coffeeville as director of special education and high school principal.
In 2018, Dudley began her journey with the Oxford School District as an assistant principal at Oxford High School before becoming principal of Oxford Intermediate in 2022.
Dudley will compete with other school administrators from across the state of Mississippi for the title of this year’s Mississippi Administrator of the Year, who will serve as an ambassador for the teaching and leading profession and a spokesperson for leaders and administrators.
In February, the Oxford School District will formally recognize Dudley and the Teachers of the Year at their annual awards luncheon, sponsored by Renasant Bank.
