Judge McLarty passes away after a one car accident on Saturday

Judge Johnny Wayne McLarty passed away this afternoon from injuries from a one car accident on University at James Food Center on Saturday.

Judge McLarty was the second longest serving judge in the state of Mississippi with over 44 years service, and just won re-election in November.

He was a member of the MS judges association since 1979.

He was a graduate of Oxford High School. He leaves two children, Chad McLarty and Deanna McLarty Massey.
