OPD respond to sexual assault on Old Taylor Road

Oxford Police Department responded to a sexual assault report at the 2100 block of Old Taylor Road on Saturday, July 25.
Investigators were called to the 2100 block of Old Taylor Road at approximately 2:55 a.m. for a reported sexual assault. At the scene, investigators began their investigations and it was determined that the perpetrator had entered the home through an unlocked window.
Oxford Police Department has not released any more information about the investigation as it is still ongoing.
“As always, we urge the community to be aware of your surroundings at all times,” said Breck Jones, the Public Information Officer of OPD. “We strongly encourage that you lock your doors and windows at night and to lock your vehicles.”
