Water Valley announces Valedictorian, Salutatorian and Historian

Water Valley High School announced the valedictorian, salutatorian and historian for the 2019-2020 graduating class this week.
Coulter Clement was named the school’s valedictorian, Blayne Clark was named salutatorian and Grant Burress was named historian.
The son of Lance and Andrea Clement, Coulter Clement is a member of the school’s cross country and track teams. He served as student council president, president of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, editor of the yearbook and president of Mu Alpha Theta, and vice president of the Interact Club.
In the fall, Clement will be attending Mississippi College in Clinton, where he has accepted an Honors College Scholarship and Music Scholarship.
“I am so thankful for each and every person who has helped shape and support me throughout this journey,” Clement said. “I would not be where I am today without the constant encouragement and guidance that I have received from so many.”
Blayne Clark is the son of Hall and Jill Clark. He is the vice president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and was selected as a group leader and speaker for Fields of Faith, as well as See You at the Pole. He is a member of the National BETA Club, the Interact Club and Mu Alpha Theta.
Clark said that he would like to thank his family, friends, teachers and coaches who have supported him throughout his educational journey.
At press time, Burress had not returned request for interview.
Water Valley High School’s graduation will take place on June 26, 2020 at 7 p.m. on Bobby Clark Field.
