Laura Faye Overstreet Reid, 84, died Friday, Jan. 17, 2020, at her home in Oxford.  

The funeral service will be Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020, at 11 a.m. at St. Andrews United Methodist Church with Rev. Billy Owen and Rev. John Kramer officiating.  Burial will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 9:30 a.m.at the church. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Paris, Miss., to the late Corinne Palmer and William Edger Overstreet, Mrs. Reid was the widow of Mr. Joseph Carl Reid. She was a longtime member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church and the beloved Alpha Omicron Pi housemother for 23 years.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Jo Joseph, and a son, Joseph Keith Reid.

Survivors include three sons, William Mark Reid, of Virginia Beach, Va.,, Steve Reid, and his wife, Melissa, of Olive Branch, Miss., and Patrick Reid, of Virginia Beach; one sister, Betty Gresham, of Oxford; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in Mrs. Reid’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
