Obituary – Marjorie Robinson Watford

Marjorie Robinson Watford, 78, of Oxford and formerly of Greenville passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, at her home. There will be a visitation Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020, from 1-2 p.m. and funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. at Boone Funeral Home of Greenville. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Boone Funeral Home of Greenville.
Mrs. Watford was a native of Mississippi moving to Avon at an early age where she graduated from Riverside High School. She married Johnny Watford and they made their home in Greenville until moving to Oxford in 2007. She was a bookkeeper for Judge Little and Greenville Christian School for many years.
She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Greenville. Mrs. Watford loved tennis and gardening and supported her children in their sporting activities. Her grandchildren were the love of her life.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny Watford, Sr., of Oxford; two daughters, Lisa Watford,of Oklahoma City, Okla, and Missy Pearson (Keith), of Oxford; two sons, Johnny Watford, Jr. (Beth), of Morton, Miss., and Chris Watford (Nicki), of Oxford; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
