Marvin Preston Watson, 85, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital- North Mississippi in Oxford. The funeral service will be Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Clear Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Clear Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 12 p.m. at the church. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

He was a retired agent and station manager with Southern Airways and a veteran of the United States Army. Marvin was an Ole Miss sports fan and an active member of the Quarterback Club. 

 

He is survived by his wife, Jean Watson, of Oxford; four sons, Tim Watson, of Oxford, Lee Watson, and his wife, Kathy, of Calvert City, Ky., David Watson, and his wife, Melody, of Boston, Mass., and Sam Watson, and his wife, Nora, of Boston; four grandchildren, Lee Watson, Megan Watson Bennett, Lucas Watson, and Xander Watson; three great grandchildren, Aiden Driver, Caleb Watson, and Leanna Watson. 

 

Memorial contributions in Marvin’s memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
