Jeffery Allen Jones, Sr., 61, passed away Sunday, Sept. 29, 2019, at Christopher’s Assisted Living in Holly Springs, Miss. 

Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2019, at 10:30 a.m., also at Coleman Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Garden of Memories (295 Hwy. 7 North, Oxford, MS 38655). Father Joe Tonos will officiate. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Jones was born in Greenville, Miss. He was an avid outdoorsman that held a great love for hunting. Mr. Jones was known to be a very determined and strong-minded individual. He was an amazing gunsmith, and he enjoyed watching old western shows. However, he loved nothing more than spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Jones was also a member of St. Johns Catholic Church.

Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Libby Jones, of Oxford; one son, Jeffery Allen (Rochelle Lee)  Jones, Jr., of Champaign, Ill.; two daughters, Jennifer Marie Jones, of La Grange, KY, and Callie Elizabeth (Gary Wayne, Jr.) Jones-Daugherty, of Oxford; his mother, Yvonne Jones, of Lake Village, Ark.; two brothers, Timothy (Mary) Jones, of Loogootee, Ind., and Dale Jones, of Lake Village; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his father, James A. Jones; and two brothers, David Jones and Lamar Jones.
