Carolyn Lois Mardis, 54, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. A private family service will be held at a later date. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements. 

She was a loving soul, who loved to laugh and always knew how to brighten another person’s day. She enjoyed fishing, watching movies, playing video games, and eating sushi. She cherished the time she got to spend with her mother and the rest of her family. 

Ms. Mardis is survived by one son, Jamie (Brittany) Mardis, of Oxford; her mother, Nancy Leake, of Oxford; her father, Harold (Annie Mae) Keel, of Coontown, Miss.; two granddaughters, Neely Grace Taylor and Emma Grace Jenkins, both of Oxford; two grandsons, Bentley Mardis, and Liam Adam Mardis, both of Oxford; two step-sisters, Linda (Randy) Wait and La June Mills, both of Oxford; one step-brother, Mike Britt, of Oxford; one niece; and one nephew. 

Ms. Mardis was preceded in death by one son, Adam Mardis; one brother, Jeff Keel; and her step-father, Ray Leake.
