Obituary – Charles Everette Yarbrough

Charles Everette Yarbrough, 78, passed away Friday, May 10, 2019, at his home in Water Valley, Mississippi. Visitation was held on Sunday, May 12, 2019, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at Coleman Funeral Home. The funeral service immediately followed at 3 p.m. Interment was at Union Baptist Church Cemetery (3072 Union Rd. Sardis, MS 38666). Bro. Derrek Starnes and Bro. Sammie Yarbrough officiated. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford, Mississippi was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Yarbrough retired from the Army National Guard after 23 years of service.  He then spent the rest of his life working at Holly Carburetor before retiring from there as well. He was also a member of Paris Baptist Church. He was known to be an avid outdoorsman who loved grabbling and gardening. He was a family man who always helped people in his community. To those close to him, he was known as “Charlie B,” and to his grandsons, he was fondly known as “B.”

Mr. Yarbrough is survived by his loving wife, Rubye Yarbrough of Water Valley; two daughters, Jennifer (James) Bass and Susan (Henry) Cummings, both of Water Valley; five grandsons, Kyle (Ashley) Cummings, Cameron (Kelsey) Cummings, Cade Cummings, Tyler Bass, and Tanner Bass, all of Water Valley; two great-grandsons, Dustin Cummings  and Cayson Cummings, both of Water Valley; two sisters, Mardria Jones of Paris, Mississippi, and Ann (Doug) Johnson of Nesbit, Mississippi; two brothers, Quinton (Carolyn) Yarbrough, and Sam Yarbrough both of Paris; one brother-in-law, Billy Clark of Oxford; and a host of nieces and nephews.
