A fifth person is now charged in connection with a Mississippi police officer’s killing.
Andre A. Sullivan was charged Thursday with being accessory after the fact to capital murder and jailed in Harrison County.
The 18-year-old is charged with helping Darian Atkinson after the death of Biloxi police officer Robert McKeithen. The patrolman was shot and killed outside the city’s police station on Sunday, and police have charged Atkinson with capital murder.
The Sun Herald reports a judge on Friday set bail for Sullivan and two others held on accessory charges at $50,000. The others are 21-year-old Joshua Michael Kovach and 20-year-old Dalentez Latavian Brice.
Darian Atkinson’s brother, Davian Atkinson, is jailed on accessory charges with bail set at $500,000.
A public defender was named to represent Darian Atkinson.
