Annie Grace Kimmons White

Mrs. Annie Grace Kimmons White, 87, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018, at Brookdale Assisted Living in Oxford.  The funeral service will be Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ann Kelly officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018, from 5 until 7 p.m. in West Hall at Waller Funeral Home and again prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m. at the church.

Born in the Hopewell Community of Lafayette County to the late Hugh Lowrance and Minnie Cromwell Kimmons, Mrs. White was the widow of Mr. John W. White. She was a faithful and longtime member of First Presbyterian Church and served as a Girl Scout leader.  Her nurturing disposition and warm heart led her to volunteer at the Oxford Surgery Center and in the ICU at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi. Mrs. White’s greatest joys in life were her husband, children and precious grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Kimmons Bryant and Mildred Kimmons and a brother, William L. Kimmons.

Survivors include two daughters, Diane White Lindley of Oxford, and Marty White Mauldin and her husband, Steve of Oxford; a son, Dr. J. Paul White and his wife, Stacy of Shannon, Miss.; a sister, Cornelia Kimmons Wood of Myrtle, Miss.; seven grandchildren, Amelia Lindley of Memphis, Tenn., Wade Lindley of Oxford, Lark Lindley of Oxford, Dr. Cameron White of Birmingham, Ala., Will White of Nashville, Tenn., Claire Mauldin Stewart and her husband, Dr. Greg Stewart of Athens, Ala. and Drew Mauldin and his wife, Corey of Oxford.  In addition, she is survived by two great-grandchildren, Gloria and Jack Mauldin of Oxford and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
