David Ray Windham

Mr. David Ray Windham, 60, passed away Aug. 2, 2018, the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss., due to health complications. There are no services planned at this time. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of local arrangements.

Mr. Windham was known as an avid outdoorsman. He was fascinated with outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing. Mr. Windham was also very fond of going to different local fairs when they came around. However, he loved nothing more than to travel. Mr. Windham’s favorite place to travel was always The Great Smokey Mountains in Gatlinburg, Tenn. He also served in the Mississippi National Guard, and he was a member of the New Jersey Carpenter’s Union at one point.

Mr. Windham is survived by his wife, Beverly Windham of Toms River, N.J.; one son, David Windham of Toms River; two grandsons, Bryan Windham and Dylan Windham, both of Toms River; two sisters, Lesa Windham of Carthage, Miss. and Robin Windham of North Carolina; two brothers, Terry Windham and Dempsey Windham, both of Carthage and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Windham was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Windham and Betty Windham.
