Dermatology Associates of Oxford will be the next business to open on an expanding Sisk Avenue.

Dr. Lyndsay Shipp, a practicing dermatologist in Oxford, announced the opening of her new practice in an Aug. 1 news release, and said DAO will open its doors in September. DAO will be located at 705 Sisk Ave. next to Southern Craft Stove + Tap, and will offer a wide variety of dermatological services, according to its website.

In addition to traditional cosmetic procedures such as Botox and surgical dermatology, Shipp will also provide skin cancer treatment and treat skin of all ages – even children.

In addition to her medical dermatology practice, Shipp is also launching Renew, The MedSpa at DAO, which will offer medical grade services and products. Renew will also feature Olivia Ellis, an in-house aesthetician with a full suite of spa services such as facials, chemical peels and other customized services.

“As Oxford continues to grow, the demand on the medical community is growing, too,” Shipp said. “This has been a dream of mine for many years and I am excited to offer a modern dermatology clinic that will meet the medical needs for my patients of all ages.”

Shipp, who has been a practicing dermatologist at Oxford Dermatology since 2014, completed medical school at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 2010, followed by an Internal Medicine internship in 2011.

She completed her dermatology residency in 2014 at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Ga. Shipp is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and has extensive training and research in medical, pediatric, surgical and cosmetic dermatology, according to DAO’s website.

DAO will not be the only new arrival on Sisk Avenue, however. Holy Crab sushi will also join the lineup soon.
