Mr. Leland Alan Long, 36, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018, in Pensacola, Fla. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Long was born in Boulder, Colo. He was an electrician for Peaden Air Conditioning, Plumbing, and Electric in Pensacola. Mr. Long was an outdoorsman. He was very fond of both fishing and camping. Most of all, Mr. Long loved spending time with his family and children.
Mr. Long is survived by two daughters, Layla Carter and Schyler Long, both of Greenville, Miss.; one son, Dalton Long of Pensacola; his mother, Mary Blasingame of Oxford, Miss.; his father, Michael Glen (Jorja) Long, Sr. of Pontotoc, Miss.; his wife, Erica Holley Long of Greenville; two sisters, Mary (L.J.) McNece of Oxford and Kaitlyn Kristine Long of Pontotoc; two brothers, Michael Glen (Meagan) Long, Jr; of Starkville, Miss. and Zachary David Long of Durham, N.C.; one grandmother, Opal (David) Higgs of Vaiden, Miss.; his biological father, Gus (Cindy) Chandler of Cushing, Texas; three nieces, Ava McNece, Olivia McNece, and Katy McNece, all of Oxford and one nephew, Joshua McNece of Oxford.
Mr. Long was preceded in death by his step-father, Jerry Allen Blasingame; two grandfathers, Glen Grice and Stan Long and one grandmother, Glenda Long.
