Hershel David Helms, 86, passed away July 13, 2018, at the Yalobusha County Nursing Home. He was a devoted husband, loving father, former owner of Case Implement Company in Tupelo and owner of Helms Manufacturing Company for the past 30 years. He was an avid golfer and 50-year member of the Pontotoc Country Club.

Services were held Saturday, July 14, 2018, at 3 p.m. at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. Matt Rayburn and Bro. Ben East officiating. Burial followed in Sand Springs Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc had charge of arrangements.

Mr. Helms is survived by his daughters, Debra Helms and Reena (Tim) Buchanan, his son, David (Janet) Helms, his brother James (Marilyn) Helms, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Mr. Helms was preceded in death by his wife Darrah Mae Helms, his parents Albert and Estelle Helms and sisters Elsie Seat and Betty Jean Hoffman.
