Mr. Harold Dean Hollowell, Sr., 82, died Saturday, July 7, 2018, at his home in Batesville.  The funeral service will be Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Floyd and Rev. Tim McMillian officiating.  Burial will follow in Forrest Memorial Cemetery in Batesville. Visitation will be Monday, July 9, 2018, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born in Lafayette County to the late Robert Lee and Velma Hodge Hollowell, he was a member of Charjean Baptist Church in Memphis and retired as a supervisor from Gould Battery.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Bevan and four brothers, Larry, Bill, Earl and Doris Hollowell.

Survivors include a daughter, Debra Lynn Hollowell Nicholson and her husband, Thomas of Batesville; a son, Harold Dean Hollowell, Jr. and his wife, Polly of Batesville; former wife, Betty Tramel of Batesville; a brother, James “J.E.” Hollowell of Jackson, Tenn.; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
