Betty Jo Cagle

Ms. Betty Jo Cagle, 73, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis,. Visitation was held Saturday, June 9, 2018, from 10 a.m. until noon, with a service following at noon, all at New Hope Baptist Church. Burial proceeded the service at Free Springs Cemetery (Free Springs Road, Como, MS 38619). Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford had charge of arrangements.
Ms. Cagle was an artistic person and very talented. She loved to draw, paint, and sketch. Her work was beautiful and matched her caring soul. She took pride in all she did.
Ms. Cagle also collected many things – Indian Artifacts, shot glasses and other items for curios.
She also was an avid sci-fi fan. She enjoyed watching shows such as The Walking Dead, Supernatural and Blue Bloods with family and friends when she got the chance. This also allowed her to spend quality time with those she loved and those who loved her.
Ms. Cagle will be fondly remembered for the way she always cared about everyone and loved everyone no matter what. She was a truly genuine person who cared for all.
Ms. Cagle is survived by her daughters, Tina (Barry) Blackwood and Christy (Melvin) Tracey, both of Como, Miss.; grandsons, Dewayne (Ali) Taylor, Brandon Blackwood, and Zachary Tracey; granddaughter, Kristen Tracey; great grand-daughter, Haley Leach; great-grandson, Andrew Taylor; and mother-in-law, Irene Cagle.
Ms. Cagle was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Cagle, Jr.
