Carolyn Young Miles, 76, died peacefully at her home in Water Valley on May 20, 2018.  She was born March 16, 1942 in Greenville, Mississippi to the late Edward Joseph and Thelma Rowlen Shaffer.

Carolyn was an active member of Campground Baptist Church and a retired seamstress for Big Yank Industries in Water Valley.  She enjoyed cooking, shopping, sewing and raising Pomeranian dogs. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Camp Ground Baptist Church near Water Valley.  Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the church with Bro. Jerry King officiating.  Burial will be in Camp Ground Cemetery. Seven Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Carolyn is survived by her sons, Jerry (Katie) Miles of Tiplersville, Mississippi and Perry Joe (Melanie) Miles of Memphis; and six grandchildren, Tony Miles, Michael Moudy, Melissa Radcliff, Rhonda Moudy, McKayla Patterson and Audrea Hobby.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Miles; two daughters, Patricia Hobby and Janie Miles and one son, Robert Barnes Jr.
