Ole Miss women’s basketball has its first signee of the Yolett McPhee-McCuin era.
The Rebels on Monday inked former UT Arlington guard Crystal Allen. A graduate transfer, the 5-foot-9 Allen has one season of eligibility remaining and will be immediately eligible for the 2018-19 season.
Ole Miss is the third school for Allen, who played two seasons at UT Arlington after starting her career at Seattle University. She played in 29 games for UT Arlington this past season with 25 starts, averaging 11.7 points and 2.8 assists.
Allen’s signing is part of a roster rebuild for the Rebels with five players having left the program since Matt Insell and the school parted ways back in March. North Carolina on Monday announced the addition of former Ole Miss guard Madinah Muhammad, who led the Rebels in scoring last season.
