Veronica Denise Wood, 47, of Holcomb, Miss., died Jan. 15, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford, Miss.  Veronica was born Aug. 29, 1970 in Marks, Miss., to Brenda Welch and Henry Barlow, and was a member of Yellow Leaf Baptist Church of Oxford.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, as well as sewing and doing needlepoint.

Services are planned for Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018 at 1 p.m. in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry McNeer serving as the minister. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until service time.  Burial will be in Sparta Cemetery in Holcomb, Miss.

Veronica is survived by two daughters, Jinnifer Sheppard of Holcomb, Miss., and Brittany Sheppard and her fiancé, Casey Vance, of Holcomb, Miss.; one son, Casey Dillion Wood of Oxford, Miss.; her mother, Brenda Welch of Oxford, Miss.; her father, Henry Barlow of Tunica, Miss.; three sisters, Felicia Gillespie (Marty), Donna Orsburn (Chuck), and Stacy Helton, all of Oxford, Miss; one brother, Henry Barlow, Jr. (Dana) of Marion, Ark.; and three grandchildren, Shaun Adam Sheppard, Zoie Paige Sheppard, and Aiden Vance.
