Mrs. Mary Milton Harrison, 95, died Saturday, Jan.13, 2018 at Wesley Meadows Retirement Community in Hernando, Miss. A graveside service will be held on Monday, Jan. 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Masonic Cemetery in Amory, Miss., with Rev. Johnny Flynt officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Waller Funeral Home in Oxford, Miss.
Born to the late William Clarence and Ruth Jacqueline Jones Milton, Mrs. Harrison was a retired office manager at Depositors Federal Savings & Loan. She was a member of North Oxford Baptist Church in Oxford, Miss., and a former member of the First Baptist Church in Amory, Miss. Her joys in life were family, painting, traveling and flower gardening. Mary had three traveling buddies. They enjoyed traveling together around the United States and Canada. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Paul Harrison; a sister, Martha Milton McLaughlin and her step-mother, Nell Milton Burton.
Mrs. Harrison is survived by three daughters, Paulette Harrison Lipscomb and her husband, Edd of Daphne, Ala., Joann Harrison Flynt and her husband, Johnny of Oxford, Miss., and Betsy Harrison McDonald and her husband, Tommy of Hernando, Miss.; two step-brothers, George Sistrunk of Charlotte, N.C. and Frank Sistrunk of Odessa, Fla.; seven grandchildren, John Lipscomb and his wife, Shawn, Susan Lipscomb Sutton and her husband Scott, Marty Lipscomb Paulson and her husband, Dieter, Jay Flynt and his wife, Emily, Kathryn Flynt Smith and her husband, Steve, Ben McDonald and his wife, Taylor and Beth McDonald Ford and her husband, Jason; eighteen great-grandchildren and her best friend, Mary Dale Rogers of Shannon, Miss.
