Maxine Hull Scalzo

Maxine Hull Scalzo passed away Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, at Yalobusha County Nursing Home in Water Valley, Miss. She was born Aug. 8, 1927, in Adaton to the late Gladys Butler and Mack Hull. She was a Brownie Scout Leader, Girl Scout Leader, a member of the Women’s Altar Society of The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of West Point and served as president of The Alter Society. She served in many capacities with the church until unable to participate. She was a member of the West Point Garden Club and dearly loved all her friends she made since moving to West Point in 1955.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday Dec. 30, 2017, at Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Darian Duckworth officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at Robinson Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Bryan, Luke Lummus, John Caskey, David Monteleone, and Joey Michel.
She is survived by her son, Mark Anthony Scalzo of Dallas, Texas; daughters, Janice Kisner (Donald) of Oxford, Miss., Kathryne Wood (Jimmy) of West Point, Miss., sister, Ernestine McGregor of Louisville, Miss.; Four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, John Scalzo.
