So much to look forward to in Oxford

We anticipate fall and then it goes so fast.
Hard to believe that Ole Miss has its final home football game of the season, with Texas A&M coming to town. In fact, it’s hard to believe that after this busy week, the Thanksgiving holiday break arrives and students began to finish up the semester.
But not so fast. There’s lots of action on tap in this community before then. This week alone has a full schedule, including Rebel basketball and football. There is the Thacker Mountain Radio Hour Season Finale, scheduled for Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Lyric. There’s the Chancellor’s unveiling of the Flagship Constellations Friday at 4 p.m. (Nov. 17) at the Ford Center on campus. And a whole lot more.
Even then, Thanksgiving won’t slow it all down. We can expect Ole Miss to hear a final ruling from the NCAA and to announce a new football coach in the next two weeks. It’s likely one season will end for Rebel football and another will immediately begin, considering a new crop of recruits must be signed before Christmas.
There’s also a holiday open house on the Oxford Square scheduled for Black Friday and a slate of Rebel basketball games to keep us busy.
But this week is the biggest left on tap for fall. So let’s enjoy Oxford at its busiest best.
