Telling Oxford returning for second year

It’s almost time for the 1st annual Telling Oxford event, an inspiring evening where members of the Lafayette, Oxford and University community tell stories of overcoming addiction and their personal path to recovery.
Last year’s inaugural event was both delightful and inspiring, providing a theatre-like storytelling experience with local impact. This year’s Telling Oxford event is this Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m., at The Powerhouse.
Tickets are $30 per person and can be purchased at the door. Proceeds support the Collegiate Recovery Community at Ole Miss.
Stories told by members of the community share strength, and how individuals, families or friends have overcome addiction or the hardship of addiction.
It’s quite a moment for this so-called party community, learning how many people have a good time without alcohol or other drugs. And, it is about providing support to those who don’t want substances in their lives.
If your life has been impacted by addiction, either directly or indirectly, and you have an interest in sharing and showing support for the recovery community we hope you will join us Thursday evening, sitting for dinner and listening to the stories of Telling Oxford.
