James B. Maples

James B. Maples, 85, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017, at the Yalobusha General Hospital and Nursing Home in Water Valley, MS.
Mr. Maples was born in Lafayette County, MS. Mr. Maples served our country in the U.S. Army for four years and the U.S. Army Reserve for 20 years.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m., also at Coleman Funeral Home. Interment will be at North Oxford Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Fish Robinson will officiate.
He is survived by one son, Billy Maples of Oxford, MS; two daughters, Dorothy “Tootie” Holloway and Virginia Garrison, both of Oxford; one granddaughter, Meranda Maples of Oxford; one great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Maples of Oxford; and one sister, Margaret Miller of Oxford.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Earline Maples; his parents, John Elmer Lee Maples and Mary Lula Chambles; three brothers, Herman Maples, Virgil Maples, and A.J. Maples; and one sister, Annie Mae Perkins.
