Four local hotels are teaming up with Visit Oxford for a one-of-a-kind event taking place this weekend.

The second Hotel Hop event is scheduled for Sunday, July 30 from 5 to 9 p.m. As part of the Hop, participants will be traveling between The Graduate Oxford, The Chancellor’s House, the President’s Suite at the Inn at Ole Miss and the Courtyard Marriott’s Green Roof Lounge to sample various specialty cocktails and “heavy” hors d’oeuvres.

The Director of Visit Oxford, Mary Allyn Hedges, says that the Hop spawned from the idea to raise more awareness about hotel options that the town has to offer.

“The summer is typically a slower time of year and after talking to our hoteliers, we thought this was a great way to generate traffic and bring locals and visitors into these hotel properties,” Hedges said in a press release. “Our inaugural Hotel Hop that coincided with Pop Up Oxford this past January was a success and sold out well before the event happened. We thought it was a no brainer to offer an additional Hotel Hop for visitors and residents this summer.”

Each hotel will have their own unique cocktail along with wine tastings.

Lauren Ellis, the Director of Sales at The Graduate Oxford thinks this is the perfect chance for the hotels to showcase what they can provide for Oxonians.

“This is a great event that each individual is able to see what our Oxford hotels have to offer,” she said. “From the restaurants, specialty drinks, to the unique hotel rooms.”
