Euro Fest car show canceled

The First Annual Renaissance Euro Fest, which was scheduled for this Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Pavilion on University Avenue, has been canceled.
Potential severe weather over the Memorial Day weekend postponed the event to Saturday.
The show’s first year in Oxford was set to feature over 25 classic European car models. Mike Marsh, the founder of the event, started it eight years ago in Ridgeland. Over the years, the Euro Car Show has had over 100,000 spectators.
A press release was sent out with more reasoning behind canceling the show:
“Due to a forecast of 50% thunderstorms on Friday and 60% on Saturday, we have canceled the Oxford Euro Fest. We regret any inconvenience this may cause you, but we are sure you will agree that the anticipated conditions would not make for an enjoyable experience. Please plan to join us at the 9th Annual Renaissance Euro Fest in Ridgeland on October 7, 2017.”
Marsh has said that he plans to make the Euro Fest an annual event in Oxford.
