Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Coleman of Brandon announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Leanna Taylor, to Derrick Raymond Stephens, son of Don Stephens and RaDonna Harper of Houston Texas.

The couple will exchange vows on Oct. 8, 2016 at Oakgrove Farm located at 647 County Road 100 in Oxford with the Rev. Eddie Willis officiating. A reception will follow at the farm.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Ralph Coleman and the late Shirley Coleman of Oxford, and Janette Shipp and the late Stafford Shipp of Taylor.

A 2008 graduate of New Summit in Jackson, Leanna attended the University of Mississippi Medical Center and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in health information management and informatics. She is currently attending Texas Tech University in Abilene pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She will graduate in December.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Joyce Stephens and the late Raymond Stephens of Cornwall, Vermont and Kenneth and Wanda Lewis of Houston, Texas.

A 2007 graduate of CY Falls High School in Houston Texas, Derrick attended Texas A&M University on a football scholarship where he earned a Bachelor of Science in agricultural leadership and development and a Bachelor of Science in economics. He is currently a national accounts manager for Sartori Company located in Plymouth, Wisconsin.

The couple plans to live in Fate, Texas.
