Cory Hollis to Hunter Mize

Keith and Shelly Hollis of Starkville announce the engagement of their daughter, Cory Elizabeth Hollis of Starkville, to Hunter Steven Mize of Oxford, son of Joe Mize and Michele Patton of Oxford.

The couple will exchange vows in the fall of 2017.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Chuck and Vera Smith of Mount Olive, Alabama, and Thedford and Sandra Hollis of Pell City, Alabama.

In 2012, she graduated as salutatorian from Lafayette High School and went on to graduate summa cum laude from Mississippi State University in 2016. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in computer science at MSU.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Lucille Jones of Oxford and Calvin and Wanda Mize of Water Valley.

He graduated from Blue Mountain College in 2013 where he was starting center for the Toppers. He currently works at South Panola High School as a geometry teacher and is the head boys’ and girl’s soccer coach and assistant baseball coach.
