RIPLEY — Dr. Horton G. Taylor Jr., 76, died Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at his daughter’s home in Union County. A memorial service will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Ripley. A private burial will be at the Taylor family farm in Calhoun County. Visitation will be held today from noon until 4 p.m. in the Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home. Military recognition for his 20-plus years of service will begin at 3 p.m.
