Cowboy Maloney’s, a Mississippi company founded in 1952, just opened their 13th location in Oxford.

Cowboy Maloney’s has locations in Jackson, Ridgeland, Flowood, Clinton, Pearl, Vicksburg, Tupelo, Columbus, Meridian, Laurel and Hattiesburg, and is expanding, while some competitors are consolidating.

Over 100 people were in line when the new store opened May 7.

“I am so pleased with the warm reception that Cowboy Maloney’s Home Store received in Oxford,” Con Maloney, chairman of the board of Cowboy Maloney’s, said.

“Our new Oxford location, which backs up to the new power center that will be open in the fall and includes Dicks Sporting Goods, is in the old Hunter’s Hollow location,” Eddie Maloney, president of Cowboy Maloney’s, said. “We feel we are in an excellent location to serve the people of Oxford and the surrounding areas.”
